things i've learned this week
today i woke up, after finally getting a measureable amount of sleep, without a fever. haven't had one all day.
i stopped the last of the pain meds which was just some tylenol.
i walked around the yard a little, ate a bit of food, and am going to attempt to take a bath in a bit. i stink.
i will even try some of my first passive rehab exercises after the bath.
so, all in all, i am much better. i am clinging to optimism that i can make it to the Taz+BamBam festivities this weekend. uh, i could use a chair with an armrest, Dan...
so, it might be time to look back on some of the things i can say i learned from this past week.
like, always keep some of the fancy fluffy overadvertised brand name toilet tissue around, just for emergencies. about the 172nd time i felt the sting from the 200 grit stuff we use (high post consumer recycled paper content) i about cried and sent xbun out to fetch me something with a picture of a teddy bear on the packaging....
or, that not all cliff block packages are created equal. that's right, i used my TDF prize as an illness recovery food. they seemed like that'd be easy to digest. so i opened up the best sounding flavor, cherry, and popped a couple in my mouth. as i was chewing i glanced and saw on the package a little "with caffeine" announcement. so i spit em out and went for a different flavor. funny, the first package i had opened had 8 bloks. the second only had 6. quality control issue? dunno.
i also learned that endurance drink mix from powerbar is not only great to have in waterbottles when you train and race, it is also pretty handy to have when you are trying to fight dehydration and hunger when you can't really eat anything. boy am i now sick of that stuff....
and, i wouldn't say i learned this, cus i already knew it. i have the bestest, sweetest, most caring and patient little bunny.
thanks to everyone for all the well wishes, blog comments, emails.
and thank you for everything, little bunny.

now you just stop that or i'm going to cry
the cliff block issue reminds me of...a math lesson...kids each have their own package of m&ms and calculate the percentage of each color in the bag and then scheme up reasons for why it's not the same. and THEN (nope, still haven't eaten them), predict how many of each color (based on their percentages) will be in the jumbo king size bag. ok, now EAT them.
i really am a dork. don't tell mike.
alicat, you are not a dork, you are the coolest math teacher i ever heard of.
chocolate math!!!
but i thought you got margarita flavored blocks...and i noticed they were getting kinda stingy-mingy with the blocks. i think i had four in my bag...
glad you're feeling better.
ass wipes
had a salad tosser for an ex, she passed this tip on.....
glad you are back on the up-n-up
Oh yeah...those things are great. We went through them by the case load over in the sandbox.
Go figure, the toilet paper is like sandpaper in a country where they don't use it. Who'da thunk it?
Even your posts sound healthier!
See you in Placerville this weekend (the power of poositive suggestion).
now that's not right...I'm gonna ask the clif lady this Saturday what goes with the varying amount of blocs...
save us ippoc!
ass wipes -- now I've learned something this week!
Hope the recuperation goes well.
